Connexus Named to NerdWallet’s “10 Best Credit Unions of 2022” List

For the second year in a row, personal finance website NerdWallet named Connexus to their list of the 10 Best Credit Unions of 2022. Specifically, Connexus was named the top credit union for checking accounts thanks to the high annual percentage yield available with our Xtraordinary Checking offering.

NerdWallet’s methodology for choosing their ten best credit unions included reviews of “rates and fees, ATM and branch access, account features and limits, user-facing technology, customer service and innovation,” among other facets.

Why Connexus made the “10 Best Credit Unions” list

In their review, NerdWallet writes that our “Xtraordinary Checking Account earns 1.75% APY on balances up to $25,000 if you meet a couple of requirements,” and “it also reimburses up to $25 in non-network ATM fees each month. There’s no monthly fee.”

NerdWallet notes that members have access to a nationwide network of Shared Branch locations and 54,000+ fee-free ATMs. Plus, membership is open to anyone that makes a $5.00 donation to the Connexus Association, which provides college scholarships and financial education.
